I have been involved in baseball since as long as I can remember. I played in little league, during high school at Niles East in Skokie, Illinois, and then at Southern Illinois University. Baseball for me was all consuming. I lived for the smell of the grass, the sweat, the competition, and teamwork. When I was playing baseball nothing else mattered.
Every time we step onto the field, we have the chance to write our own story, to chase our own dreams, and to push beyond our limits. Baseball shows us that success is not measured by the number of home runs or strikeouts but by the heart and effort we put into the game
